Indonesia Rising is guided by leadership that combines field experience, strategic access, and a genuine dedication to writing.

At the helm is Rusmin Lawin (RL), Founder and Chairman, a successful serial entrepreneur with a strong legal background in Indonesia and decades of experience in real estate and high-level strategic networking. A dedicated globe-trotter promoting Indonesia internationally, he is also the creator of Indonesia Rising’s signature module, Investment Diplomacy, which frames the ethical and strategic architecture behind cross-border engagement. Beyond boardrooms, he holds a deep appreciation for writing and documentation; Indonesia Rising was born from his discipline of recording lessons and translating complex policy and investment dynamics into structured, principled narratives grounded in lived experience.

Serving as Editor in Chief is Tania Maris, who also writes under the pen name GMora (GM). With strong professional networks and cross-sector exposure, she shapes the platform’s editorial direction with clarity and discipline. Her passion for writing is enriched by her deep interest in art and culture, as well as business expertise drawn from her own experience as an entrepreneur. Through both her editorial leadership and her voice as GM, she transforms experience into refined, accessible insight for a global readership.

Together, the founders combine strategic access, ethical positioning, and editorial discipline creating a platform that is both substantive and personal.
